In the old days you had to actually drive some where to get your music and there were no videos. Today.....Just click, download, move the song or video over and ta da! You got new music or videos on your phone or Ipad or what ever platformed you are using. That easy access to music and video has made YouTube (and it's owners Google) a monster in the music business.  Well even the monster might have met thier match. One of the most powerful men in the music business is suing YouTube. "Music mogul Irving Azoff – sometimes referred to as the most powerful person in the industry – has threatened YouTube with a billion-dollar lawsuit over song rights. The former Live Nation, Ticketmaster and Clear Channel boss, who’s also managed Van Halen, Journey, the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and many others, says his new company owns the rights to over 20,000 tracks which the video service is using without permission. His new firm, Global Music Rights, looks after material written by John Lennon, Chris Cornell and many others.Asked why he’s chasing YouTube rather than other streaming services, Azoff said: "They are the ones that have been lease cooperative, and the company our clients feel are the worst offenders. It’s also their attitude.” Google has denied any wrong doing through a bevvy of attorneys. Now we wait to see who blinks.
