ZZ Top kicked off the Gang of Outlaws tour on Friday in Manchester, New Hampshire with 3 Doors Down and Gretchen Wilson. The first leg of the tour runs through June 29th in Minnesota. As fans get hyped about the live shows, many are waiting for the new studio effort being co- produced by Billy Gibbons and Rick Rubin. The as-yet-to-be-titled disc should arrive in late summer or early fall.

"We were itching to get some new music out before the full album release; making available these four tracks seems like a good way to accomplish that most expeditiously," says frontman Billy Gibbons in a statement.  "[Bassist] Dusty [Hill],  [drummer] Frank [Beard] and I are happy with what's been accomplished in the studio so we figured we'd provide some hot and tasty 'hors d'oeuvres' before the main course is served."

Look for the digital EP Texicali on June 5th. It features four tracks from the new album, "Chartreuse, "Consumption," "Over You" and "I Gotsta Get Paid," which is being used in a Jeremiah Weed commercial.

Texicali will be available on iTunes and other online music retailers. The aforementioned songs will also stream at RollingStone.com for 24 hours on Monday.
