Wyoming Cowboys in the NFL: Week 15
LARAMIE -- It was the most expensive ticket to date for an NFL game this season. It featured the hottest team in the league playing at home where they hadn’t lost all year.
All eyes were on Detroit for its game against Buffalo on Sunday afternoon. And at the end of day, it’s all but a certainty that the Most Valuable Player in 2024-25 will be awarded to a former University of Wyoming student-athlete.
Josh Allen was as sharp as he could be for the second consecutive week. He was 23-for-34 for 362 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran it 11 times for 68 yards and two more scores in a 48-42 road victory over the Lions. Over the last two weeks, Allen had accounted for five passing touchdowns and five rushing touchdowns without a turnover.
For the season, Allen is 275-for-427 for 3,395 yards with 25 touchdowns and just five picks. He’s rushed it 91 times for 484 yards and 11 scores.
Buffalo, which is 11-3, hosts New England in Week 16.
Below is a list of the other former Wyoming Cowboys and how they performed in Week 15:
Tashaun Gipson, San Francisco 49ers
Gipson pieced together his most productive game of the season in the 49ers’ 12-6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. He made three tackles and had one pass defended. Those were Gipson’s first recorded stats of the season after missing the first six games with suspension. San Francisco, which is 6-8, travels to Miami in Week 16.
Carl Granderson, New Orleans Saints
Granderson, as he’s done frequently this season, stuffed the state sheet in the Saints’ 20-19 loss to Washington. He boasted six tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss and one quarterback hit. For the season, Granderson lays claim to 50 tackles, 5.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one pass defended and 13 quarterback hits. New Orleans, which is 5-9, travels to Green Bay in Week 16.
Chad Muma, Jacksonville Jaguars
Muma didn’t record a stat in the Jaguars’ 32-25 loss to the New York Jets. For the season, Muma has logged 31 tackles. Jacksonville, which is 3-11, travels to Las Vegas in Week 16.

Andrew Wingard, Jacksonville Jaguars
Wingard didn’t record a stat in the Jaguars’ 32-25 loss to the New York Jets. For the season, Wingard has recorded one tackle. Jacksonville, which is 3-11, travels to Las Vegas in Week 16.
Frank Crum, Denver Broncos
Crum didn’t play in the Broncos’ 31-13 win over Indianapolis. For the season, Crum has played in six games, participating in 33 snaps with 24 of those occurring on special teams. Denver, which is 9-5, travels to the Los Angeles Chargers for Thursday Night Football.
Treyton Welch, New Orleans Saints
Welch is currently participating on the Saints’ practice squad. He has yet to be elevated this season.
Logan Wilson, Cincinnati Bengals
Wilson was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury prior to Week 14. For the season, Wilson recorded 104 tackles, two tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, four quarterback hits and one pass defended.
Marcus Epps, Las Vegas Raiders
Epps’ season came to an end in Week 3. He tore his ACL after a 10-tackle effort. Epps finished the season with 19 tackles and one tackle for loss.
