There are quite a few things that really set Wyoming apart from other places in the U.S., having only one University is an interesting one and Wyoming truly stands alone.

There are branches of the University of Wyoming around the state, but they're still connected to the main campus.

Now, just because there's only one University, that doesn't mean there aren't options for a college degree. There are 12 options to continue your education at the collegiate level, a few cosmetology schools and several truck driving schools in Wyoming.

Of the 12 college options, outside of University of Wyoming and Wyoming Catholic College, the highest degree you can earn is an Associates Degree. 9 of the 12 schools offer students the opportunity to continue with collegiate athletics.

When you compare Wyoming to the neighboring states with state colleges/ universities , Montana (6), Colorado (13), North Dakota (6), South Dakota (6), Utah (9), Idaho (4) and Nebraska (7). Future Wyoming college students still have options that aren't too far away from home.
