Ian Munsick Hears University Of Wyoming Band Perform His New Single

I feel like we've been talking a lot lately about Ian Munsick's summer of 2026, and deservedly so; this dude has been busy. A new clothing line (Schaeffer Outfitter), a new album (The Mountain Goat), a busy summer tour (The Road to the Mountain Goat Tour), and next month is the grand opening of his restaurant (The Ian Munsick Cowboy Bar & Western Grill) in Deadwood.

The crazy part is that all of this has happened within the last two months. Holy Guacamole! How could he fit anything else into that wild west schedule?

Well, he did.

Munsick had the opportunity to hang out with the University of Wyoming's "Western Thunder Marching Band" and hear them cranking out his latest single, "Love is Blind."

According to the University of Wyoming press release, the mastermind behind the "Love is Blind" arrangement is recent UW graduate and current middle school band teacher Jacob Walker in Green River.

Walker, a Wyomingite from Cheyenne, was tasked with putting together the performance after showing off his skills and talents by creating a complete show for his final project before graduation. Because of that, he was asked to use his skills again for the Western Thunder Marching Band by arranging the performance of Ian's song.

If you watched the video above, you can tell Ian was excited for the band to use his music again in a performance, and at the end of the video, he expresses his gratitude.

Coming here as an eight-year-old kid watching the Cowboys play here with my dad, I never would've thought I'd be standing here on this field hearing you guys play my music back to me. So, thank you, guys, very, very much; it's a huge honor. Thank You.

If you recall last football season, the band featured Ian's music, but he wasn't there in person like he was this time.
