Cody, Kelly Walsh, and Jackson are No. 1 in the First WyoPreps Soccer Rankings of 2025

Three defending champs began atop the first WyoPreps Coaches and Media Soccer Polls for the 2025 season revealed on Wednesday. The Kelly Walsh girls, Cody boys, and Jackson boys sat at No. 1. Last year’s defending 3A girls’ champ, Lander, was tied for second. Three ties across the four divisions also highlighted the first poll of the new year. The Jackson boys in 4A were the closest to being a unanimous pick for the top spot, as the Broncs earned 15 of the 16 first-place votes. Kelly Walsh got the most votes for No. 1 in the 4A girls’ rankings. Cody earned six of the nine in Class 3A boys. Finally, in 3A girls, three teams split the nine first-place votes. The difference was one more third-place vote for Cody, which put the Fillies at the top to start our poll.

WYOPREPS COACHES AND MEDIA SOCCER POLLS 3-26-25

The ties were in 3A girls, 4A girls, and 3A boys. Lander and Powell tied for second in 3A girls. 4A newcomer Green River and Natrona County tied for fifth in 4A girls. The last tie was in 3A boys between Buffalo and Powell for fourth.

1 = Cody

T2 = Lander

T2 = Powell

4 = Douglas

5 = Buffalo

Class 4A Girls:

1 = Kelly Walsh

2 = Jackson

3 = Laramie

4 = Thunder Basin

T5 = Green River

T5 = Natrona County
