A Casper man was arrested after a woman told police he threatened to stab her and throw her body in a river.

Jose Izaldo, 41, was arrested on recommended charges of aggravated assault and felony domestic assault Sunday afternoon.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, police were called to a residence in the 1200 block of First Street in Casper at roughly 3 p.m. When they arrived, they met with the alleged victim who was visibly scared and trembling.

Izaldo and the alleged victim were formerly married and have a child together.

The alleged victim told police that she did not want Izaldo in her home but she was scared to ask him to leave. She also said that Izaldo threatened her with a knife and said he would kill her and toss her body in the river.

She went on to say that Izaldo had gotten upset with her and taken money from her the day before. Izaldo allegedly pushed her "all over" her home and grabbed a knife from the kitchen, stabbed it toward her face, just missing her.

Izaldo also made threats toward the victim's child, according to the affidavit.

The child told police that Izaldo kept knives on his person and would often "surprise" the woman with death threats while holding a knife.

Izaldo is expected to appear in Natrona County Circuit Court Monday afternoon.
