It's looking like tonight's '12-12-12' benefit show will be one to remember. Not only is Paul McCartney heavily rumored to be joining the living members of Nirvana onstage, but former Pink Floyd leader Roger Waters says he's preparing a collaboration with Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder for the broadcast.

There's no word on a new project from Pearl Jam at this moment in time, however Eddie Vedder has announced he's hitting the road for a solo tour.

Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder will release a new album consisting entirely of tunes played on the ukelele later this year, music blogs report, and the first song is out today. It's a fresh recording of Vedder's "Longing To Belong," which the singer has played at solo shows throughout the last couple of years. Listen to the new recording after the jump.

R.E.M. will be releasing their latest disc  "Collapse Into Now" on March 8th. "Mine Smell Like Honey" was released as the first official single. Eddie Vedder has a collaboration on the album too!
