There are certain bands that, when they get back together after years of vacation from the rock music industry, go on tour, and regain their energy for their own music you don't care if they come out with a new record or not. Fleetwood Mac is not one of those bands.

After selling out shows all across America this summer. And now touring Europe (former bandmate Christine McVie will be on stage tonight) the Mac is contemplating a new piece of music. This is one band that I would relish listening to after months of redefining their own chops on the road, and spending some time in the studio. But it's not up to the band.

"Lindsey Buckingham says a new Fleetwood Mac album could only happen if Stevie Nicks wants it to – and he can understand why she wouldn’t." “She had a wonderful experience making her solo album. She hasn’t said this – this is just me – but, knowing Stevie, she’s probably thinking, ‘If I have to write five new songs, do I want to give them to Fleetwood Mac?’

This is one music aficionado that would relish some new Fleetwood Mac.
