‘Act of Valor,’ which began as a Navy recruitment film, eventually grew into a full-length feature in which an elite team of Navy SEALs embark on a covert mission to recover a kidnapped CIA agent. But what’s got everyone talking is that unlike standard war flicks, ‘Act of Valor’ stars real active-duty Navy SEALs.

Directed by former stuntmen Mike “Mouse” McCoy and Scott Waugh, the movie, which opens next weekend, features convincing battle sequences along with scenes of the officers living their day-to-day lives and talking about their war-time experiences.

The first trailer was released about a month ago, and the second one premiered during Friday night’s 2011 Quicken Loans Carrier Classic, a college basketball game played on board aboard the USS Carl Vinson.
