Bad Company and Joe Walsh’s ‘One Hell of a Night’ Tour: Exclusive Photos and Video
The blockbuster summer tour featuring Joe Walsh and Bad Company is underway, and we have exclusive coverage. Check out a photo gallery above and video below.
The tour, which began May 12 in Dallas and continues through July 3 in Nashville, is appropriately titled One Hell of a Night. Both acts are rotating the headlining slot. "I wanted to tour this summer," Joe Walsh says in the Live Nation video. "And I was looking to take it up a notch."
Bad Company co-founder Paul Rodgers says there was an immediate spark, both with Walsh and with audiences. "Straight off the top, we gel instantly," Rodgers says. "There is a great excitement that is created by what we plan to do onstage. ... You kind of feed off of that energy, and it takes everybody to another place."
The 25-date tour kicked off shortly after the arrival of a classic-era Bad Company live album, and follows Walsh's well-received 2012 record Analog Man. Rodgers is joined by fellow Bad Company co-founder Simon Kirke on these dates.
The set lists find Walsh returning to songs from across his solo career, as well as cuts from his stints with the James Gang and the Eagles. Meanwhile, Bad Company earlier premiered "Crazy Circles," from 1979's Desolation Angels. And, as Rodgers notes, the "One Hell of a Night" tour is just getting started.
"There's an intimacy," he adds. "There's a connection with the crowd. All of that is what I look forward to."
