Boston Singer Suicide A Reminder To Wyoming

He had one of the most beautiful voices in rock that went silent, 12 years ago today, March 9, 2007. Boston singer & guitarist Brad Delp committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning at his home in Atkinson, NH with a note that said “I am a lonely soul.” He was 55 years old.
Here in Wyoming, we know more of suicide than most other states. Wyoming has a higher than normal rate of depression and suicide and for several years, had the dubious distinction of having the highest suicide rate in the country according to Wyoming News. Also from Wyomingnews.com:
“Suicide is the second-leading cause of death among Wyoming youth, said Keith Hotle, the suicide prevention team leader with the Wyoming Department of Health. Only car crashes kill more teens.”
