Twelve-year-old Briana Weinert, who was reported missing since Monday night, has been found safe, according to a news release from the Natrona County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday afternoon.

"The investigation is still on-going as to the details of her disappearance," Sheriff's Sgt. Sean Ellis said in the news release.

Ellis said he had no further information about the case including where she was found.

Brianna was reported last seen at 9:30 p.m. Monday at her residence in the 10000 Block of Ridgeview Road and walking toward the intersection at Cole Creek Road northeast of Evansville.

She left her home wearing plaid shorts as well as a yellow and blue shirt.
