Local health care providers and the general public are invited to this one day training on infectious disease at Casper College. The Wyoming AIDS Education Training Center will host the training May 2nd from 8am-4pm.

 

“2014 Extreme ID: An Infectious Disease Update” (CEU 0940 90) will feature Dr. Donna Sweet, internationally known HIV educator, who will present on the current state of HIV; Dr. Mark Dowell, who will present on influenza and trends seen in 2013 and 2014; Dr. Karen Peterson, who will present on sexually transmitted disease hot topics; and Dr. Alexandru David, who will present on the current West Nile Virus.

“We are encouraging all health care providers, as well as the general public to attend this training,” said Ann Dalton, workforce-training specialist at Casper College. A registration fee of $25 required for all those who attend. Physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners will receive one continuing medical education credit while all others will receive .7 continuing education units.
