UPDATE: The 416 Fire has nearly doubled in size in 24 hours, now at 16,766 acres. Published reports say more than 2,200 homes are under mandatory evacuation, but no structures have burned.

Casper Fire-EMS has sent resources to help fight a large wildfire in Colorado.  According their Facebook page, Casper Fire-EMS Brush 5 has been assigned to the "416 Fire", which is burning on private land and on the San Juan National Forest north of Durango. Brush 5 headed to the fire Sunday morning with a three person crew.

According to InciWeb as of Sunday, June 10th, the 416 fire is currently 8,691 acres in size, and is 10% contained. Local reports say some 1500 homes have been evacuated and other road, area, and trail closures are in effect.

The 416 fire started on June 1st, and currently the estimated containment date is July 31st. The cause is still unknown.
