Casper police on Friday morning arrested a man who allegedly pointed a gun at another man in a Starbucks parking lot.

Michael Ray Arnall, 64, was booked into jail on a recommend charge of aggravated assault and battery.

Charging papers say an officer was sent to the Starbucks on East Second Street for a report of a weapon offense.

The victim reportedly told the officer that he had been getting into his vehicle when he slipped, causing his car door to hit Arnall's vehicle. Arnall then allegedly got out of his vehicle and started yelling at the victim.

Due to the yelling, the victim told police, he was "scared for [his] life," so he tried to get into his car and leave. That's when Arnall allegedly went to the victim's driver-side door and pointed a small gun at the victim, yelling at him to get out of the vehicle.

A witness reportedly told police that she pulled into the parking lot and saw Arnall pointing "something" at the victim, yelling at him to get out. She could not identify what Arnall was pointing at the victim.

Arnall allegedly admitted to pressing his gun up against the driver's window in order to keep the victim from leaving.

Arnall reportedly said the gun was loaded with "one in the chamber." The officer found the gun, a semi-automatic .32-caliber Seecamp, on the center console of Arnall's GMC pickup.

The gun had a full magazine, one round in the chamber and no safety mechanism. The victim identified the gun as the same weapon which Arnall allegedly pointed at him.

Arnall was arrested and taken to jail.

A search of Arnall's pickup also turned up a Remington .22-caliber rifle, which was logged in for safekeeping.
