Casper’s Surplus Stuff Can Be Your Treasure: Auction Includes Office Equipment, Cars, Ice Skates
So are you in the market for some used, official City of Casper-owned tool sets, ornamental trees, ice skates, or an ice resurfacer?
How about display cabinets, a bench grinder, air compressors, filing cabinets, an air jack, some CATC buses, a Crown Vic, snow making equipment or a snowmobile?
And if you really want to splurge -- remember Mother's Day is in two months -- check out the Emergency One HP105 Aerial Platform Truck that is among the scores of items for sale in the city's surplus equipment auction. Minimum bid on this beauty is $100,000.
Earlier Monday, the city announced it is putting up four properties for sale.
Now, it has authorized the disposal of 73 surplus lots through a sealed bid process. Bidders are invited to bid on any one or all lots.
A complete listing of the items for auction is available at the Casper Service Center, 1800 E. K St. A printable version can be found on the city's website
The surplus equipment may be seen from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 22, 23, and 27, and from 8 a.m. to noon March 28.
Bids must be in one sealed envelope with “bid enclosed, surplus equipment,” and submitted to the fleet office at or before 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 28.
Bids will be opened publicly, read aloud, and tabulated by City Manager V.H. McDonald or his designee on March 28
If the city sets an alternate site, it will post that announcement at the fleet office before that time.
The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any informalities or technicalities in the bidding.
