Casper City Council has granted bars, restaurants, and other establishments that sell alcohol permission to remain open Sunday until 2 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, according to a news release from the city.

The extended hours are for this weekend only.

Casper law usually restricts alcohol sales to 10 p.m. Sunday.

Bars, restaurants and liquor stores are allowed to sell until 2 a.m. during the rest of the week.
Although the evening hours have been extended, the morning hours will not be changed.

Liquor-selling establishments are not allowed to open until 10 a.m. on Sundays, and that restriction will remain in place this weekend.

Staying open until 2 a.m. is not a requirement.

Many restaurants, bars, and liquor stores will choose to maintain their normal business hours.
