UPDATE: Fire West of Casper is Out

UPDATE: The fire was apparently a controlled burn that got out of control. It is out now and crews are monitoring.

Natrona County Fire crews are battling a fire west of Casper.

Sheriff's deputies are on scene as well at the location at 8-mile-road near Poison Spider.

It is a rural area, but near some structures. The nature of the fire isn't known yet, but we will bring you more information as it becomes available.
