The Equality State Book Festival begins September, 11th in Casper and features accomplished authors as guest speakers.

New York Times best-selling author Joshilyn Jackson and award-winning Wyoming author Nina McConigley are among the speakers.

The three-day festival includes readings, panels, craft talks, book signings and a poetry slam. This year's event is built around the theme "making it," which includes everything from book-making to the definition of literary success.

Jackson, author of 2013's "Someone Else's Love Story" and McConigley, who published the story collection "Cowboys and East Indians" last year, will participate in talks and panel discussions.
