Famed Beatles ‘Yellow Submarine’ And Beatles Cartoon Animator Holds Casper Art Show
Ron Campbell, an animator of the iconic Beatles film Yellow Submarine and director of the 1960’s Saturday morning Beatles Cartoon series will be making a rare personal appearance at Art 321 – Casper Artists July 11th and 12th. Campbell will showcase his original Beatles cartoon paintings which were created specially for the show, and create new Beatles pop art paintings at the exhibit.
Campbell will also be featuring other artwork based on his 50-year career in cartoons. Those include Scooby Doo, Rugrats, Smurfs, Flintstones, Jetsons and more. The exhibit is free and all works are available for purchase.
Campbell’s former studio was awarded a Peabody and an Emmy for his work in children’s television. Since retiring he has been painting subjects always based on the animated cartoons he has helped bring to the screen. He shows his Cartoon Pop Art in galleries worldwide, with particular emphasis on The Beatles,
Ron Campbell will be at Art 321-Casper Artists' Guild at 321 W. Midwest Avenue on Tuesday July 11th and Wednesday July 12th from from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m both days.
