Flooding Possible for Much of Eastern Wyoming Through Tuesday
As much Wyoming continues to receive heavy spring rainfall, much of the state is under a flood watch through Tuesday afternoon.
The National Weather Service offices in Riverton, Cheyenne, Billings, Mont. and Rapid City, S.D. are reporting flood watches in portions or all of Natrona, Johnson, Niobrara, Crook, Weston, Campbell, Converse, Goshen and Laramie counties.
Several cities and towns in those counties could also be impacted, including Casper, Glenrock and Douglas.
Two to three inches of rain is expected to fall throughout the affected areas.
Severe thunderstorms are possible in the southeastern portion of the state with the greatest risk coming between 3 and 9 p.m.
Flooding is possible in small streams and rivers.
The National Weather Service is encouraging spotters to report any adverse conditions.
