CHEYENNE -- It's almost tourney time in the college basketball world.

Will it be an extended stay for the Cowpokes next week in Las Vegas at the Mountain West Tournament or a third straight one-and-done?

The No. 9 seed will face San Jose State, a team that swept the season series, Wednesday inside the Thomas and Mack Center. Tipoff is slated for 12 p.m.

Which Cowboy team will we see in Sin City?

The one that gave a scare to newly crowned conference champion, New Mexico, along with Utah State and San Diego State, in all six matchups this season, or the one that looked lost in both tilts with Border War rival Colorado State?

Time will tell.

In this episode of the Roaring Repeater Podcast (find that right HERE), we not only talk about Sundance Wicks' team, but the hard-charging Cowgirls, who host four-time champs, UNLV, tonight inside the Arena-Auditorium.

We also talk plenty about offseason football moves, the upcoming Big 12 Wrestling Championships and Daniel Reynolds' big day at the conference title meet.

Also, joining Cody and Jared in studio, Zak Pullen, illustrator of a brand new family book, A home for Steamboat. You probably guessed it, but this 48-page stunner revolves around Wyoming's favorite bucking bronc.

Make sure to check out the book and pre-order it right HERE.

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
