PODCAST: New Year, New Beginning For Wyoming Football Program
LARAMIE -- Jay Sawvel and his coaching staff are all but done filling out their offseason wish list.
At the very top, a quarterback.

That man is Tyler Hughes, who tossed 20 touchdown passes last season at William & Mary. More importantly, though, he rushed for 670 yards and crossed the goal line 11 more times.
Wyoming desperately needed a signal caller with wheels.
Mission accomplished.
Cody Tucker and Jared Newland also dove head first into the latest local political news, mainly the early denial from Wyoming's Joint Appropriations Committee of a proposed $6 million bump the athletic department was hoping to add to its bank account.
If you feel strongly about this decision -- not to mention the one looking to axe the university's budget to the tune of $60-plus million -- write your legislator. In fact, why don't you jot down your feelings on the subject and send it our way? Then we can compile it all into a "rants and raves" of sorts and you can send that link to your local lawmaker.

This Roaring Repeater podcast also focuses on the current state of the Cowboy basketball and wrestling program, along with all the comings and goings in the football during January's two-week transfer portal window, including the hiring of new offensive coordinator Christian Taylor. We also answered some of your questions in this latest edition.
