If you're struggling to get your kids excited about anything other than their electronics or to get them to stop lying around all day, or you yourself are looking for a way to get active and find a new activity, today is a good day to offer them another option. The Michael Patrick Gallagher School of Irish Dance is beginning a four-week beginner crash course in Irish Dance.

The beginner session will run on Wednesdays for four weeks, beginning today, April 15, through May 6, here in Casper.

If you haven't heard anything about the art of Irish Dance, you're really missing out. It's incredible the way the dancers can move and the skill it takes to master the routines. Over the last couple of years, I've been keeping up with MPG after seeing them perform around town on St. Patrick's Day. At the time, a young man named Thomas Gorman and his mother, Megan, visited the radio station to talk about their upcoming trip to the World competition in Scotland.

As a young man, Thomas followed in his older sister Tamsyn's footsteps to become an Irish dancer, and the brother-sister duo has performed across the country and around the world. Recently, Thomas placed 10th at the World Championships in Chicago.

Taking the next four weeks to see if Irish dance life is for you or your family could lead to life-changing opportunities. You can find more information about the Michael Patrick Gallagher School of Irish Dance on its website or by following it on social media.
