In the Mid-2010s, the slogan was relaunched and is still being used today by United. Up until this week, the friendly skies were busy with travel, and not really experiencing a large amount of issues from the government shutdown (in Wyoming at least), but that may change soon.

A social media post from the Casper/ Natrona County International Airport explains that things may get a bit hairy in the future when you're electing to "Fly the Friendly Skies" out of Casper.

At this time, C/NCIA is not aware if our flights that originate from or are destined to Denver will be impacted.
We strongly encourage all our travelers to stay informed by checking their flight status directly with their airline and signing up for text or email alerts for the latest flight updates.
We will do our best to provide additional updates if conditions change.
We want to share our sincere gratitude to our federal partners who continue working to keep our airport, and the nation’s aviation system, running safely and efficiently.

Holiday travel is just around the corner, and if you're planning on flying out of CNCIA, it's a good idea to book your flight now.

Local Pilots Give Wyoming Kids A Free Flight

Does your kid want to be a pilot?

There is no way of knowing unless they get a chance to get in an airplane and get up there.

Thanks to a Wyoming chapter of EAA, (Experimental Aircraft Association), kids in Wheatland Wyoming got that chance this past weekend.

Local pilots offered free rides to all kids, breakfast included.

The hope is that maybe some of these kids will get that urge to want to fly and pursue a career as a pilot.

America needs more pilots.
