You've heard the phrase, "mess with the bull, and you'll get the horns," right?

A Wyoming Game and Fish Department video showed "if you mess with a mother's baby, you'll get the hoof."

The caption tells the story of a doe pronghorn protecting her twin fawns from a badger. Because fawns are scentless and close in color to badgers, one of the twins got in the middle of the mother's rage. In the video, you can see that the mother snaps out of her rage and realizes her baby is the target of her aggression.

You can see that the mother is distressed. Luckily, the baby can get up and walk away,  but the mom remains on high alert as the young one runs off.

As we think about wildlife, it’s important to remember that while these animals are beautiful and majestic, and those little babies are adorable, these animals are wild and nature can sometimes be pretty brutal.

Remember this when you're out exploring. There's a good chance you'll see babies in the wild, but Mama is probably pretty close. You don't want to be the focus of a headline or the butt of a Touron joke.

Another video on Newsbreak showed a mother grizzly bear with her cubs teamed up for breakfast. It's a bit frightening to think that people feel it's okay to get close to these wild animals.
