Hilltop Bank’s Greg Dixson Is Retiring After 11 Years
It was announced on Tuesday that the current President and CEO of Hilltop Bank, Greg Dixson, will be retiring after 11-years. According to Board Chairman and owner Dave True, Dixson's time with the bank has been successful.
Greg has led the company through several major initiatives, including expansion into new markets through satellite offices, the strategic acquisition of a bank in downtown Cheyenne and the construction of a brand new 6,300 square foot branch in north Cheyenne, all leading to exceeding a billion dollars in assets. Greg has also been deeply involved in the community, serving for several years on the Wyoming Banker’s Association board, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming board and the Downtown Development Authority board. We are grateful for Greg’s leadership, dedication and commitment to serving Wyoming
When you have a key position in the company retiring, you may be concerned that the company will be hit with a rebuilding period and have to start from scratch finding someone to fill the shoes of an accomplished leader, but at Hilltop, they are way ahead of the game.
Darren Cantlay, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, will succeed Dixson as Hilltop Bank’s next President and CEO. Cantlay brings more than 25 years of financial experience, with extensive leadership across finance, operations and strategic management. Cantlay began working at Hilltop Bank in June 2024.
Dixon, who will be leaving at the end of the month, says that he is confident the transition will be smooth.
I am incredibly proud of what our team has accomplished together, and I am confident that Hilltop Bank’s intentional approach to succession planning, along with a strong executive management team, will ensure a smooth transition and continued success under Darren’s leadership
Congratulations on a great run, Greg, and enjoy retirement.
