Longmire Days In Buffalo Raises Big Money For Charity

I'm not sure Craig Johnson knew how much of an impact Walt Longmire would make on people when he wrote the first Longmire book, but he's done great things with his success, like forming the Longmire Foundation. The foundation was formed to share Western values and support the community. 

The Longmire Foundation is the driving force behind Longmire Days, which take place each summer in Buffalo, WY. Fans of the Longmire books and TV series come from around the world to join other fans for a long weekend of fun.

Those who attend the weekend's events have a great time and play a key role in fundraising. Each year, the event raises thousands of dollars to be donated to meaningful community organizations and causes.

Not only does Craig Johnson play a significant role in the event, but several of the show's stars are in attendance. In 2024, Robert Taylor (Walt Longmire), Louanne Stephens (Ruby), A. Martinez (Jacob Nighthorse), John Bishop (Bob Barnes), and Derek Phillips (Travis Murphy) hung out with fans, signed autographs, reminisced about the show, and seemed to enjoy the weekend just as much as the fans.

In 2024, the Longmire Foundation put the funds raised from last summer's event to great use, donating to many charities, sponsoring local community events, and providing an educational scholarship.
