Summer is filled with classic car shows where collectors and enthusiast bring their best old classic cars to be admired by all.

Some events even include contests and prizes.

Did you know that the aviation community does the same thing?

This year the Wyoming aviation community is including a photo contest.

The winning photo will grace the cover of the 2024 Wyoming Airport Facility Directory.

The director is a book that shows every landing spot in Wyoming, from bigger airports like in Cheyenne and Casper to dirt strips in the most litley places.

Much like those classic car shows, anybody who loves classic machines and good food is welcome to attend one of these events.

You might just get a free ride out of the deal.

Airplanes are not just for rich people.

The pilot community includes people from all walks of life who love taking to the air and exploring our region.

Below are a few examples of flying events that take place every year here in the state of Wyoming.
