New Casper Coffee Shop Goes Far Beyond Great Coffee

It's not a new thing to hear that there is a new coffee shop in town.

ANOTHER ONE?

But when that coffee shop is unique and different enough, it's worth talking about.

Miss Mary, the producer of the Wake Up Wyoming morning radio show, has been sneaking off to get coffee and breakfast for the morning crew at a new place that just opened up in downtown Casper.

What she brings back is so good I had to go try them out in person.

This place is far above average.

BR Coffee, better known as Blue Ridge Coffee, used to have a single location on the west side of Casper. Last summer they took the operation on the road, adding a funky double-decker bus that drove around town, serving coffee through a window and letting folks sit upstairs in the bus.

Now they have a new brick-and-mortar store in downtown Casper!

I had the Ruben and a cup of potato soup.

The soup tasted homemade and the Ruben met my snobbish Ruben standards.

Food eaten in-house is served on real plates with real utensils (always a nice touch).

This is not a plastic and styrofoam store.

It's also fun to people-watch since Blue Ridge Coffee sits right at a corner of downtown Casper with plenty of big windows to watch people go by.

The lady sitting next to me had this delightful little sandwich you'll see below, with some pasta on the side.

This is not fast food, even though they get it to you fast.

These dishes are a little more healthy and more high end but I did not find the prices to be outrageous by today's standards.

Like the meal I had everything on the plate below appears to be freshly made.

Many of their treats and meals have that homemade touch that will bring you back.

I can say that because I'm going back
