Winter conditions and crashes have forced the closure of Interstate 80 between Laramie and Cheyenne.

As of 5:32 p.m., both lanes were closed between Laramie and Otto Road, and the westbound lanes were closed between Otto Road and Cheyenne.

Estimated Opening Time Unknown

As of 4:30 p.m., the Wyoming Department of Transportation did not have an estimate as to when I-80 would reopen.

Drivers are encouraged to call 511 or visit wyoroad.info for the latest road conditions and closures.

UPDATE:

As of 7:30 p.m., WYDOT estimated it would take crews six to eight hours to get I-80 back open.
