Wyomingite Dead After SUV Hits Bridge Retaining Wall, Catches Fire
A Wyomingite is dead following a fiery crash east of Glenrock, the Wyoming Highway Patrol says.
The crash happened around 9:13 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 5, at milepost 156 on Interstate 25.

According to a fatality crash summary, 55-year-old Gavin Stanek was behind the wheel of a northbound Cadillac Escalade when the SUV exited the interstate into the median, where it traveled until it struck a bridge retaining wall.
"The driver's side of the vehicle scraped along the rail and then over it toward the river, rolling toward the passenger side," the summary reads. "The vehicle landed on the roof across the river on the embankment. The vehicle was then engulfed in flames."
Sadly, Stanek didn't survive the crash. It's unknown if Stanek was buckled up.
Driver Fatigue Possibly to Blame
The summary lists driver fatigue/asleep as a possible contributing factor.
Stanek is the second reported person to die on Wyoming's highways this year.
