KFC To 3D Print Meat?

I'm getting real tired of this. Can we just have REAL MEAT and stop with the fake meatless meat meats?

Strangely enough, this is happening in Moscow. Their KFC has partnered with a Russian bioprinting company to produce 3D chicken nuggets to the table.

They are calling it “meat of the future.” I'm calling it another lab-created chicken.

This is KFC’s response to what that think might be a growing market in artificially produced meats.

The company called 3D Bioprinting Solutions, has developed a bioprinting technology using chicken cells and plant material to recreate the taste and texture of chicken meat. There is still some actual animal meat involved. But not much.

They claim that it will still have that great KFC taste due to the herbs and spices.

KFC Moscow is doing this, like many other companies, because they think there is an interest and a market for products like this. Only time will tell. Should the interest in meatless meats fade away it would just be another in a long line of ideas where companies jumped on the bandwagon only to find out it wasn't going anywhere.

I'll say what I've said before with these other meatless meat experiments: Go on and try it. If there is a market for it then fine. I'll even try some myself just to see if I like it. But I have seen too many things come along that claim to be healthy and will "save the planet" that do anything but. So, yes, at this point I am very much a skeptic.
