Less Offensive Onion Is a Reality [POLL]

Onion lovers rejoice. We can now put away the breath mints and the onion goggles. A horticulturist in the U.K. has produced (invented) a new red onion that's billed to be tear and bad breath free.

The "sweet red onion" is lower in pungency levels, which brings about a less overpowering flavor. This onion is said to be so mild, you can eat it like an apple.

I love onions. Can't go to Subway without getting onions on the turkey sammich. That's the one I buy when I'm going straight home. You're welcome.There's no word on availability in the U.S. Oh well, if I never get a chance to try one, I still have my Sweet Valdalias.
