The summer heat is dangerous for all of us, but for 6-year-old Conrad Dixon it can literally be deadly. So, when it seemed as though his dream of having a tree house would never come true, the Make a Wish Foundation stepped in.

Little Conrad suffered a stroke, and has been dealing with an awful immune disease that keeps him from being able to play outside much. So, for this little boy to have a tree house it would have to be air-conditioned and insulated.

In talking about the request for the tree house, Make a Wish Oklahoma CEO Jeff Summers said,

I think the original call was for the most awesome tree house ever, in Wynnewood Oklahoma."

Volunteers had three weeks to design the tree house, and only three days to build it.
