Motorcycle Surfing Is Now a (Mind-Blowing) Thing
Surfing as you know it is about to change.
Australia's Robbie Maddison went surfing on a specially rigged motorcycle in the waters of Tahiti.
While Maddison may have made history with the extremely unorthodox sport, it did leave him rather scared.
And don't think for a minute that figuring this all out was smooth sailing. Maddison says there were a lot of hurdles to overcome.
The bike, which had a sealed engine, came with fins to keep it above water and featured a tire in the back that moved it forward in the water. The whole thing took three years to perfect and it certainly looks like it paid off because this is definitely one of the coolest ways to take a dip.
