NASA Photographer in Wyoming Captures Stunning Images of Space Station Flying in Front of Sun During Solar Eclipse [VIDEO]

A NASA photographer is the person to thank for some of the most stunning images yet coming out of Monday's solar eclipse.

Joel Kowsky was in Banner, Wyoming, where a partial eclipse was visible, and captured the International Space Station flying in front of the sun as the moon crossed its face.

Business Insider reports Kowsky used a high-speed camera that recorded 1,500 frames per second. It was necessary because the space station, which is about the size of a football field, orbits at an altitude of 250 miles at a speed of 17,500 mph.
