Pat Benatar and Rick Springfield Touring Together This Summer

Pat Benatar and Rick Springfield are set to hit the road together for a series of U.S. concerts this summer.  Billboard reports the trek is scheduled to kick off June 29 in Raleigh, North Carolina, and is plotted out through a July 25 show in Saratoga, California.There's a close  connection between Pat's husband Neil Giraldo and Rick Springfield. It was Neil, who played guitar on the original version of Rick's breakout 1981 hit "Jessie's Girl."

"I always thought it would be a kick-ass tour with the boy/girl thing and us both having high-energy rock and roll shows," Springfield declares.  "I am very excited for the dates.  We both have a big catalog of familiar songs so I think the audiences will definitely get it."

While working on his first album "Working Class Dog," Springfield admired the work of Benatar and feels they've come full circle.

Prior to the tour with Springfield, Benatar and Giraldo will serve as a support act on Cher's Dressed to Kill spring trek.  Those dates run from a March 22 show in Phoenix through an April 12 performance in Detroit.  Pat and her husband also have a number of headlining shows scheduled in March, April and July.
