The Casper Police Department responded to Fort Caspar Academy today for a report about a missing male 10-year-old-student, according to the department's Facebook page.

The information about the missing student was relayed rapidly this morning.

An officer saw a child matching the description from Fort Caspar Academy, made contact with the child and confirmed he was the one missing. The boy then was reunited with his parents.

When the Casper Police Department receives a report about missing children from schools or elsewhere, all officers who are not on a critical call will respond to the last known area the child was seen.

The first officer on scene will talk with the person who reported the missing child, obtain information and a picture. The officer immediately notifies all law enforcement.

The Casper Police Department also will ask Casper Fire-EMS to assist with the search.

The department would like to thank the Natrona County School District and Casper Fire-EMS for their help today.
