Power Outage Affecting East Casper [UPDATED]

UPDATE (1:57 p.m.)

Rocky Mountain Power indicates that the large outage has been resolved. 

A few small outages remain in the area of East 12th Street and Evansville, but only six customers are affected in total.

A significant power outage was reported in east Casper on Thursday afternoon.

According to Rocky Mountain Power's outage map, some 2,200 customers are without power. It was first reported at 12:21 p.m.

Crews have been notified and the company estimates power will be restored by 3 p.m. The cause is under investigation.

A number of businesses on East Second Street are reportedly without power as a result of the outage.
