It's a day of family fun that helps raise money to battle childhood cancers. The Olivia Caldwell Foundation's 3rd annual Putt N Play for Pediatric Cancer fundraiser is this Saturday, September 9th, at Old Town at Parkway Plaza in Casper.

Organizers say it's a fun family event for all ages. Besides trying your hand at miniature golf, you can explore carnival games, play in the "little tikes" area, and enjoy face painting and a cupcake walk.  There's also a large silent auction, including items such as Club Level Broncos tickets and trips. You can bid online, or in person.

Casper's Vice Mayor, Ray Pacheco, will also be on hand at 11:00 a.m. to sign a proclamation making 9/9/17 "Childhood Cancer Awareness Day."

The Olivia Caldwell Foundation was founded in November of 2013, soon after Katie Caldwell's daughter Olivia died of brain cancer at the age of only 20 months. "We started it three weeks after she passed away to raise money for pediatric cancer research," says Caldwell, "to try and find the cure that eluded her and so many other children." Since then, the Foundation has raised more than $155,00.00 for pediatric cancer research for Children's Hospital Denver and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Putt N Play will be from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Old Town Family Fun And Amusements at the Parkway Plaza. Mini golf is just $5 per person, and kids five and under play free.  Carnival tickets are only 50 cents each.

You can find more information, buy tickets, or sign up to volunteer or sponsor the event at the Olivia Caldwell Foundation website.
