UNDATED (AP) — — Ryane Clowe, Derick Brassard and John Moore injected instant offense just hours after being acquired by the Rangers, and New York scored a season-high three power-play goals in a surprisingly dominant 6-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Clowe came to New York on Tuesday night in a trade with San Jose. Brassard was part of the package New York received on Wednesday in the deal that sent star forward Marian Gaborik to Columbus right before the NHL trade deadline.

Clowe scored two goals — after netting none for the Sharks in 28 games this season.

In other NHL action:

— Wayne Simmonds and Erik Bustafsson scored goals late in the third period to lift the Philadelphia Flyers to a 5-3 win over the Montreal Canadiens.

— Ryan Getzlaf had a goal and two assists, and Teemu Selanne (TAY'-moo suh-LAH'-nay) scored his 673rd career goal in the Anaheim Ducks' 5-2 victory over the Dallas Stars.

— Taylor Hall had a goal and four assists in helping the Edmonton Oilers win their fifth straight with an 8-2 rout of Calgary.

__ San Jose doubled up Minnesota 4-2. That's the Sharks' sixth straight win. The Wild have lost three of four.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — The Carolina Hurricanes have traded forward Jussi Jokinen (YOO'-see YOH'-kih-nehn) to the Pittsburgh Penguins for a conditional draft pick. The Eastern Conference-leading Penguins added an offensive threat for a relatively low price. The Hurricanes receive either a sixth- or seventh-round pick from Pittsburgh and will retain a portion of Jokinen's salary. His contract that pays him $3 million per season expires after 2013-14.

In other NHL dealings before the trade deadline:

— The Ottawa Senators traded goaltender Ben Bishop to the Tampa Bay Lightning for rookie forward Cory Conacher and a fourth-round draft pick. The 23-year-old Conacher has nine goals and 15 assists in 35 games this season for the Lightning.

— The Buffalo Sabres have traded captain Jason Pominville to the Minnesota Wild. The Wild sent prospects Johan Larsson and Matt Hackett plus a first-round draft pick in 2013 and a second-round draft pick in 2014 to the Sabres for Pominville and a fourth-round draft pick in 2014.

— Boston has acquired defenseman Wade Redden from the St. Louis Blues for a conditional seventh-round draft pick next year that becomes a sixth-rounder if he plays in at least one game during this year's playoffs.

— Washington has acquired right wing Martin Erat (EE'-rat) and minor leaguer Michael Latta from Nashville for 2012 first-round draft pick Filip Forsberg.

— Toronto bolstered its defense by acquiring Ryan O'Byrne from Colorado for a fourth-round draft pick in 2014.

— The San Jose Sharks have brought back defenseman Scott Hannan for a second stint with the team. The Sharks have traded a conditional draft pick to Nashville for Hannan. The Sharks also picked up Raffi Torres from Phoenix for a third-round draft pick.

— Phoenix traded center Matthew Lombardi to Anaheim for left wing Brandon McMillan.
