With Bon Jovi in his rear view and no certainty he'll ever rejoin his old band, Richie Sambora is focused on his new solo project.

Sambora shared a few details of his work while at a recent Grammy event with Orianthi, (the Australian guitar wizard) who is whispered to be his girlfriend. Producer Michael Bearden is also a collaborator with Sambora.

What will the sound of the album be?

"We cover a lot of genre[s]," he explained. "You know, all of us love very many different genres of stuff, and we can take it everywhere from, like, acoustic intimacy to the heaviest heavy."

Bearden elaborated on the sound and consistency of the project that has both artist feeling good about.

"Somehow…it will have a consistent through line. It won't be genre-specific, but you'll feel it…So it's all about the song and the emotion."

No date of release was given, just a "It's Coming."

Orianthi and Bearden were working with Michael Jackson in 2009, for the London shows, when Jackson died.
