UNDATED (AP) — The Pittsburgh Penguins' run at a record-breaking streak is over. Playing without injured star Sidney Crosby, the Penguins fell to Buffalo 4-1 to end their 15-game winning streak.

Kevin Porter scored his first two goals of the season for the Sabres, who won for the first time in five games. Steve Ott and Cody Hodgson also scored as Buffalo sent Pittsburgh to its first loss in more than a month.

Jarome Iginla scored his first goal with the Penguins after coming over in a trade with Calgary last week but it wasn't nearly enough.

The loss left the Penguins two wins short of the NHL record for consecutive victories.

In other NHL play;

— Nathan Horton broke a tie midway through the third period with his fourth goal in four games as Boston topped Ottawa 3-2. The Bruins shook off their recent offensive woes by unloading 50 shots on goal to earn their second straight win after losing five of their previous seven games.

— Alex Ovechkin had two goals and an assist to lead Washington to a 5-3 comeback win over Carolina. Mike Green also scored twice for the Capitals who overcame a 2-0 deficit by scoring five goals on their first 11 shots. The Hurricanes wasted a three-goal performance by Jiri Tlusty.

—David Legwand scored the tie-breaking goal with 1:14 left, and Nashville went on to edge Colorado 3-1

— Frans Nielsen scored the go-ahead goal in the final minute of the second period and the Islanders went on to a 5-2 win over Winnipeg. The victory moved the Islanders past the Rangers into the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

— Keith Yandle scored twice and Jason LaBarbera handled 39 shots as Phoenix downed Los Angeles 3-2.

— Peter Mueller scored the only goal in the shootout to lead Florida past Tampa Bay 3-2.

UNDATED (AP) — Boston has acquired veteran Jaromir Jagr (YAH'-oh-meer YAH'-gur) from Dallas for a pair of prospects and a conditional second round pick in the draft. The NHL's 10th leading goal scorer leads the Stars in points this season with 14 goals and 12 assists.

— The New York Rangers have acquired forward Ryane Clowe (RY'-ihn kloh) from the San Jose Sharks for three draft picks.

— The Hurricanes have acquired defenseman Marc-Andre Bergeron (BEHR'-zhehr-ahn) from Tampa Bay for forward Adam Hall and a draft pick.

— Vancouver has acquired center Derek Roy from the Dallas Stars. The Canucks sent defenseman Kevin Connauton and a second-round pick to Dallas.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Columbus Blue Jackets center Mark Letestu (luh-TEHS"-too) has signed a two-year contract extension through the 2014-15 season. The 28-year-old has 20 goals and 24 assists for 44 points in 85 games since joining the Blue Jackets in a trade with the Penguins in November 2011. This season, he has nine goals and 11 assists for 20 points. He ranks second on the club in all three categories.
