It was a bit of unusual sight, as a robot sat among students in classroom at a New York school Tuesday. Right out of a Sci-Fi movie or the Jetsons.

The futuristic student took the place of a high school freshman who is recovering from surgery at home, with the high-tech gadget helping Jeffrey Kaji attend class at the Long Island School for the Gifted in South Huntington, NY. Kaji had an emergency appendix surgery last week, and the doctor told him school was out of the question for at least a week.

But luckily (or unluckily, depending on how you look it it) for him, his mom works for the company that makes the robot. So she asked her boss at A+ Technology and Security Solutions if her son could use one. Now, with his mug on the robot's face, Kaji is zooming around school while learning from his bed. This reminds me so much of a robot sc-fi movie or an episode of the Jetsons.
