The Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo will take place this year on July 6-14.

So let's face it, anybody who's anybody has spent an inordinate amount of time and money at the 2011 Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo. I mean, why wouldn't they? It's basically the coolest part of the summer.

Have you been to the fair yet? If not, you do NOT know what you're missing. The food, the rides, the games, the people watching (Ohhhhhh, the people watching)- it all makes for one of the most exciting weeks of the Casper year.

The highlight of Summer for many citizens of Casper is Parade Day. Parade Day is an excuse to get off of work, get outside, spend some quality time with one's family and let the kids eat as much candy as they can get their hands on.

From the library to local TV, convertibles to calliopes and everything in between - the annual parade in downtown Casper is always a highlight of the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo each summer and after looking at the photos, it isn't any surprise why.

How do you know when Summer has begun? Is it the heat? Is it when baseball season starts heating up? Is it when your Grandmother makes her famous bowl of potato salad? Well, in Casper, one surefire way to know that Summer is here is when the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo comes to town!

The 2011 Central Wyoming Fair & Rodeo is upon us - and it just wouldn't feel like Fair Week without Casper's Parade Day festivities on Tuesday, July 12.  If you're planning on checking it out this year - you might want to take a look at the enclosed map - due to some construction projects in town, things will change a little this time around.
