It's that time of the year again. The leaves are falling, the sun is setting earlier, and the David Street Station Splash Pad is shutting down for the season.
There are currently rumors floating around social media that the Downtown Casper Christmas Parade (sponsored by the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce) is changing its name to the 'Lights of December Parade.'
"Pushing pause on breakfast," Grant Street Grocery wrote on their Facebook page. "We are very sorry to announce that we have to pause our weekly breakfast until we are able to hire more kitchen staff."
The Spotlight Lounge, which opened in September of 2021, may be on the verge of shutting its doors for good. That's if they don't receive a loan from the Small Business Association; one they applied for back in October of 2021.
After a day or two of rest after months of preparation and the big night on Saturday, the Casper Chamber of Commerce has announced a variety of winners for their float contest from the Downtown Casper Christmas Parade.
Tragedy was narrowly avoided on Thursday night, when a vehicle traveling through the intersection of 2nd and David Street struck a stroller carrying children.
“Hope means that there’s not a black tunnel in front of me,” Hunter offered. “It means that there is something out there for me to keep me going. Hope is the enemy of suicide, and if we can give just a moment of hope to someone, we may save their life."
