The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team (24-6 overall, 12-4 MW) came back from a 14-point second half deficit and pulled out a 60-58 win over the Colorado State Rams (11-19 overall, 7-9 MW) in the quarterfinal round of the 2013 Reese's Mountain West Tournament on Thursday night."I think this is everything you expect with Colorado State/Wyoming game," said head coach Legerski. "I thought the intensity was tremendous tonight. Colorado State got off to a great start, had us down 14 in the second half. It was a situation where all we talk about all year long is winning four minutes at a time. We talked about just getting back in the game during those segments.

Then when we tied it up, in fact, went ahead, we talked about we had one four minute segment left, we've been here a number of times this year, it's time to make some plays.

Kayla Woodward executed a play, buried a big three, then Chelan Landry got to the basket at the end. Kaitlyn Mileto ignited us in that run to be able to get back into the basketball game."

Two Cowgirls finished the night in double-figures led by sophomore Kayla Woodward. She finished the night with 17 points and seven rebounds in 36 minutes of action. Katilyn Mileto followed with 14 points while Chaundra Sewell recorded a game-high 11 rebounds. Wyoming shot 22-60 (.367) from the field and 11-23 (.478) from beyond the arc. They out rebounded the Rams 45-26 and had 17 second chance points. (http://www.uwyo.edu)
