
Weather Service Says Severe Thunderstorm Headed For Casper
The National Weather Service has issued a significant weather advisory for south-central Natrona County until 4 p.m.
Radar has been tracking a strong thunderstorm 13 miles northwest of Alcova, or 26 miles west of Casper, moving east at 25 mph.
Half-inch hail and winds exceeding 30 mph will be possible, as well as occasional cloud-to-ground lightning. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm.
The affected areas include Emigrant Gap and Bessemer Bend.
Please take precautions including seeking safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
